Brenda Makena, a 2nd year MSc Bioinformatics student from the University of Nairobi’s Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (CEBIB) has been selected for 3 months all-expenses-paid research students exchange programme. Brenda is among nine students competitively selected for the programme from various institutions of higher learning in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Sudan, and Cameroon. The programme, funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), is aimed at strengthening capacity at the beginning of the student’s research careers.

On 1st November 2019, Stakeholders, Staff and Management Team at the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics met to discuss and consolidate the reviewed graduates curriculum at Sentrim Elementaita Lodge.

During the curriculum review group discussions, Quality Assurance Officer, Doreen Nanyama emphasized that, “the order of complexity of academic programmes is differentiated based on Bloom’s Taxonomy level as per Universities Standards & Regulations 2014.”
