The Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics(CEBIB) laboratories are equipped with several fridges and freezers including two(2) -80°C freezers. The fridges and freezers have a power backup connection to ensure samples and reagents integrity in case of a mains power outage. Air-conditioning installation in the labs enables regulated temperature conditions to optimise researchers working space isolated from the uncontrolled external conditions. |

| CEBIB Boardroom |

The CEBIB boardroom located in the Centre's office block with a capacity of eight (8) persons also serves as the Centre's mini-library and a venue for thesis viva-voce. It has adequate ambient lighting, comfy fabric-cushion orthopaedic chairs, a mahogany table, reliable LAN/WI-FI internet and electricity connection, a standby projector and a whiteboard/chart board. |

In addition to the Bioinformatics lab lecturer theatre, the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics has a well lit and ventilated lecture theatre that can accommodate twenty (20) persons and is equipped with comfortable fabric-cushion writing chairs, reliable power back-up, whiteboard, projector and screen installation as well as fast and stable WI-FI internet connection. |

Other than the dry lab for bioinformatics, computational biology and mathematical modelling, the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (CEBIB) has five(5) wet-labs with a dark room, standby power backups, and a constant supply of water. The labs include the two(2) preparative labs, molecular biotechnology lab, molecular parasitology lab, protein chemistry and electrophoresis lab, and the mycology lab. CEBIB hosts laboratory accredited (ISO/IEC 17025:2005) for aflatoxin testing by the Kenya National Accreditation Services (KENAS). |
| Bioinformatics Laboratory |

The Bioinformatics laboratory, the only dry lab in the Centre, is equipped with 14 computers with fast and stable internet connectivity (LAN and WI-FI). The lab is also equipped with common and private study spaces, a boardroom, a server room, and a lecture theatre equipped with a projector, a screen and a whiteboard.
