In addition to the Bioinformatics lab lecturer theatre, the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics has a well lit and ventilated lecture theatre that can accommodate twenty (20) persons and is equipped with comfortable fabric-cushion writing chairs, reliable power back-up, whiteboard, projector and screen installation as well as fast and stable WI-FI internet connection.

Other than the dry lab for bioinformatics, computational biology and mathematical modelling, the Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (CEBIB) has five(5) wet-labs with a dark room, standby power backups, and a constant supply of water. The labs include the two(2) preparative labs, molecular biotechnology lab, molecular parasitology lab, protein chemistry and electrophoresis lab, and the mycology lab.

CEBIB hosts laboratory accredited (ISO/IEC 17025:2005) for aflatoxin testing by the Kenya National Accreditation Services (KENAS).
